Dialpad Appoints Richard Rivera Chief Revenue Officer
With Continued Expansion of Executive Bench, Dialpad Targets Enterprise Companies
SAN FRANCISCO, April 11, 2017 ‐ Dialpad today announced that Richard Rivera has been named chief revenue officer (CRO). Rivera is responsible for expanding and refining the company's revenue strategy and operations with a focus on global enterprise customers. Rivera joins an increasingly deep bench of Silicon Valley and SaaS executives with the experience to take fast-growing Dialpad to the next level of sustained growth. Dialpad has achieved 138 percent year-over-year subscription revenue growth and brought on board more than 10,000 new customers in the past six months, including enterprise customers such as Xero, Financial Times, Stripe, Netflix and The Weather Channel and midmarket customers such as Eventbrite and PagerDuty.
"Dialpad is gaining tremendous momentum as organizations realize they can scale more rapidly and cost-effectively using a pure-cloud enterprise communications system that unifies voice, conferencing, video, messaging and more, while completely eliminating the need for separate telecom infrastructure and hardwired desk phones," said Craig Walker, CEO of Dialpad. "With his experience growing billion-dollar communications businesses, Richard is the right person to complement our existing team as we drive growth for enterprise companies."
Over the last two years, Dialpad has focused on building a deep executive bench, recently adding Chief Financial Officer Steven Love to the team. In addition to Rivera and Love, the executive team now includes Founder and CEO Craig Walker – who also founded the companies that became Google Voice and Yahoo! Voice; Cofounder and Vice President of Telephony John Rector; Cofounder and Vice President of Engineering Brian Peterson; Vice President of Product Vincent Paquet, also a co-founder of Google Voice, and Chief Marketing Officer Morgan Norman.
"We are at the beginning of a major disruption in how global high-growth companies scale their communications infrastructure to meet the demands of Anywhere Workers. The enterprise market opportunity for Dialpad is simply unlimited," said Rivera. "Dialpad already has the best technology platform for cloud communications, and our premier resellers and elite partnerships have created the foundation for extraordinary growth moving forward."
Prior to Dialpad, Rivera held multiple executive positions at Fuze, including most recently as senior vice president of worldwide service and revenue operations. Before Fuze, he was a regional vice president of sales at Medallia, where he helped drive the company's pre-IPO sales with more than 175 percent growth.
