If you’re searching for a Kixie alternative for your business, then you’ve come to the right place.

Kixie is a widely used communications platform, providing solutions primarily for the sales teams of small businesses. It features integrations with several other apps, including a variety of CRMs. It’s also pretty reasonably priced in comparison with many of its competitors.

But is it the right communications platform for your organisation? There are several Kixie alternatives that may be more suited to your needs. So, we’re going to explore some of them today to help you decide which one is best for you.

What is Kixie?

Kixie is a communications platform offering a phone service, contact centre, business SMS, and analytics and reporting, alongside other features.

Kixie PowerCall is an advanced sales dialler which aims to streamline outbound calling, allowing salespeople to call up to ten leads at a time with no connection lag.

Kixie’s contact centre solution aims to help businesses provide an improved customer experience with the help of features like an IVR auto attendant. It also offers automatic call recording, which can aid with employee training and avoiding disputes.

Kixie’s integrations with other apps, such as customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, help businesses optimise lead management and streamline their workflows. Integrations with HubSpot, Slack, and Zendesk are all offered.

Why your business might need a Kixie alternative

Let’s explore some scenarios in which you might find that Kixie isn’t the best choice for your business.

You want to streamline communications across all non-sales teams

Kixie provides a number of useful features for sales teams. That’s great because we all know that sales teams are a vital part of any business. But they’re not the only part.

Customer service teams, in particular, need a communications platform that properly supports them. Having access to features that streamline workflows and reduce customer wait times is key to providing great customer service.

With Kixie supporting your sales teams, you may find yourself having to look for an alternative communications platform for your other teams. Not only does this involve the added hassle of looking for another communications provider, but it also means that you’ll be paying at least two subscription fees every month.

A platform like Dialpad gives you the right tools to help your sales teams excel. This includes tools such as voicemail drop, which allows you to leave a pre-recorded message that can be played if your sales call goes to voicemail. But Dialpad also provides features that can benefit your wider organisation.

There’s no doubt that Kixie can help sales teams contact more leads over the phone, with features like PowerDialer and their local presence dialler streamlining the process and increasing pickup rates.

However, the importance of speaking face to face with leads shouldn’t be underestimated, and, unfortunately, this is a function which Kixie doesn’t provide. The absence of video conferencing functionality means that remote sales engagements can become impersonal.

If your sales reps are working remotely or you’re doing business with customers overseas, that’s a problem. Dialpad’s sales call centre solution lets them have conference calls and video calls from anywhere, and its AI can even track keyword mentions (like competitor names and common objections) to help glean insights from sales calls:

You need a more cost-effective unified communications platform

We’ve already covered how using Kixie for your sales teams may leave you needing an additional communications solution for the rest of your organisation.

On top of that, it’s worth considering the price of the service itself, as well as what’s offered as part of each pricing plan. Kixie has four plans at different price points, the cheapest of which costs USD $35 per month. (Kixie doesn’t provide UK pricing on their website, but at the conversion rate at time of writing, that’s just under £291).

Dialpad’s plan includes unlimited inbound and outbound calls within the UK, as well as in the US and Canada.

Kixie, on the other hand, only offers unlimited minutes to customers in the US and Canada, which comes at an additional cost of USD $30 per user.2

You want to improve your overall business processes with built-in AI

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is at the forefront of technological advancement, and it’s playing a part in changing the way companies do business. AI technologies can help streamline workflows and unify business solutions, reducing workloads and increasing efficiency.

Kixie features a handful of AI tools, including an auto dialler and custom automation. However, this functionality is only available on the more expensive price plans and is largely superfluous.

This is in contrast to Dialpad, which has AI features integrated throughout the platform, helping to increase efficiency at every turn. Call tracking features are available to help reps while the sales dialler speeds up workflows for sales teams.

Dialpad Ai Contact Centre, meanwhile, revolutionises the way that customer support teams operate. Call routing features help reduce wait times and average handling times, while its live caller sentiment analysis feature lets supervisors quickly see if a customer conversation is going badly—so they can jump in if needed:

For sales teams, Dialpad's Ai sales coach and Real-Time Assist features can provide sales recommendations and coaching to reps in real time, which is especially helpful for getting new hires up to speed:

Your teams need more integrations with popular tools

Adopting a new communications platform is much easier if it can integrate seamlessly with your existing tools. Kixie offers integrations with popular CRM software, such as HubSpot and Salesforce, as well as help desk software, like Zoho. However, there are a few notable exceptions missing from Kixie’s integrations.

For example, Kixie doesn’t offer native integration with commonly used platforms like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. Dialpad, on the other hand, does, alongside integrations with several other apps, like Azure, Evernote, HappyFox, and Playvox QM.

With Dialpad, you can also set up integrations with virtually any app using API tools or Zapier integrations. So whatever your setup, Dialpad can get you up and running quickly, with all your tools and apps working alongside each other.

The top 5 Kixie alternatives ranked on robustness and cost-effectiveness

So, if Kixie isn't the best choice for your business, and you’re wondering what alternatives to consider, read on. here are five of the top Kixie alternatives.

1. Dialpad: A powerful unified communications platform with built-in AI

2

Dialpad is a unified communications platform, meaning you get everything you need in one place. With Dialpad AI running through the entire platform, you get access to a host of helpful features at every level, making it the perfect choice for sales and support teams alike.

The Dialpad app is available for iOS, Android, Mac, and PC, and Dialpad can be accessed from any web browser. This means wherever your teams are working from and whatever device they’re using, they can access Dialpad and enjoy its many features.

Kixie offers great features for sales teams, but Dialpad has the power to revolutionise communication across your entire organisation.

Truly unified communications

Dialpad is a UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) platform, meaning it's not just a cloud phone system that utilises VoIP technology to let you make phone calls through the internet. It also gives you numerous other communications channels, like video conferencing and messaging.

UCaaS services are great for companies with remote workers or those who do business with other organisations around the world. Because they’re cloud-based, they’re also highly scalable and typically cost less to operate.

As a UCaaS provider, Dialpad brings all your communications together in one place. Phone, email, text messages, instant messaging, and more are all accessible from the same place, with a simple interface for ease of use.

With Dialpad, there’s no need to spend time flicking between apps or browser windows to stay up to date on all your communications, thanks to features like click-to-call and customisable notifications.

Easy call routing

Call routing systems can save your business valuable time and resources, while also improving customer satisfaction and reducing average handling times. This is because call routing helps direct calls to the right department and agent.

Dialpad's customisable call routing is easy to set up, right from your online dashboard. Calls can be directed to specific agents based on who’s been idle the longest or who has the most relevant skill level.

Real-time transcription with built-in AI

One of the most unique things about Dialpad is its artificial intelligence, Dialpad Ai. It powers features like real-time transcription and live sentiment analysis—that other providers simply can’t offer.

Call transcriptions can provide a useful resource for sales reps wishing to go back over details and can also be a powerful training tool, especially when coupled with call recording features:

Custom caller ID

Dialpad features custom caller ID, which lets you choose which caller ID you display when making outgoing calls. It can be set up in minutes, and caller IDs can be easily selected on each call with a couple of clicks.

With a custom caller ID, you can display the number of your company’s sales department when calling a lead, even if you’re ringing from your own mobile and are nowhere near the office.

Dialpad also gives you the option of calling from a withheld number if necessary.

Call analytics

Dialpad features built-in call analytics, making it easier to view and measure numerous metrics across your organisation. These metrics include missed calls and call abandonment rates, and let managers assess the performance of agents and tailor coaching—even if they're not in the same room:

2. CallHippo

CallHippo is a virtual phone system designed to help businesses increase agent productivity, monitor performance, and lower communication costs.

What makes CallHippo a good alternative to Kixie?

CallHippo has various features, including call transfer and call recording. It also features integrations with numerous apps, including Slack, Zapier, and Zoho CRM.

There’s a power dialler function which enables your sales team to automatically dial from an uploaded list of numbers for each campaign.

But, like Kixie, it lacks video conferencing functionality and only offers limited collaboration tools. If your organisation has remote teams, you’ll probably need to rely on a second platform to get the necessary tools for remote collaboration. In this case, CallHippo may not be the best choice for you.

Pricing

CallHippo offers four plans for its business phone system: Basic for £0 per month, Bronze for £14 per user, per month, Silver for £20 per user, per month, and Platinum for £34 per user, per month.

It’s worth noting that the Basic plan isn’t entirely free, as you’re still required to pay for numbers. Also, several features are priced separately as add-ons. For example, voicemail transcription is available for £2 per user, per month.3

3. CloudTalk

CloudTalk offers call centre software designed to help businesses expand further afield, offering over 160 national phone numbers.

What makes CloudTalk a good alternative to Kixie?

CloudTalk’s biggest advantage over Kixie is that it features dedicated inbound and customer support software. But that doesn’t mean it’s lacking in sales features, boasting an intuitive predictive dialler alongside simple yet effective sales reporting.

Another feature that CloudTalk offers that Kixie doesn’t is skills-based call routing.

However, some users have noted that the dashboard isn’t as intuitively designed as it could be, making it difficult to transfer calls while others have commented that the reporting features aren’t as comprehensive as they could be.

Pricing

CloudTalk offers three plans: Starter, priced at $25 per user, per month, Essential for $30 per user, per month, and Expert at $50 per user per month. (Prices are in USD, as, unfortunately, CloudTalk doesn’t offer GBP pricing on their website). Custom, tailor-made plans are also available.4

4. Aircall

Aircall is a provider of call centre software geared towards teams who put the customer at the heart of their business.

What makes Aircall a good alternative to Kixie?

As it’s designed with customer-centric teams in mind, Aircall has many features which help provide good customer service. Alongside its call centre functionality, it also provides various other features like collaboration tools, an automatic predictive dialler, and call scripting.

As with many of the platforms listed here, however, it lacks video conferencing functionality, which is a must nowadays for most companies due to the many remote and hybrid workers.

What’s more, unlike Dialpad, there’s no voicemail drop feature. It also lacks AI and the many useful features associated with it, such as real-time transcription. This means that Aircall is missing many of the features that make a platform like Dialpad so powerful.

Pricing

Aircall offers a basic Essentials plan for £25 per user, per month and a more feature-rich Professional plan for £40 per user, per month. Both plans require at least three users. Custom plans are also available.5

5. JustCall

JustCall is a cloud phone system that’s built with sales reps in mind. Its features include a predictive dialler and call monitoring.

What makes JustCall a good alternative to Kixie?

JustCall features include an outbound call centre and support contact centre alongside its business phone system. Because it’s targeted mainly towards sales teams, it shares many features with the similarly positioned Kixie.

It does have some features that are missing from Kixie, however, such as fax and an appointment scheduler. And many features that are offered in JustCall’s standard plan can only be obtained on Kixie if customers pay for Kixie’s higher-tier plans. This includes things like access via a mobile app and call recording.

However, it's worth noting that many of the more useful features are locked to the more premium plans.

Pricing

JustCall offers a Standard plan for $24 per user, per month and a Premium plan for $48 per user, per month. Each has a two-user minimum. Custom quotes are also available. (Prices in USD as GBP pricing is not available on the JustCall website).6
