Dialpad Establishes New Hub in Austin, TX
Office Houses Sales, Customer Support and Professional Services Staff
AUSTIN, TX and SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 12, 2017 -- Dialpad, the San Francisco-based pure cloud communications provider that empowers today's Anywhere Worker, has established a new office in Austin, TX. Housed within the Austin WeWork facility in University Park, the office functions as the central location for Dialpad’s growing sales and customer support team, as well as the company’s professional services organization.
The Austin effort mirrors Dialpad’s recent entry into Canada and the establishment of an office in Vancouver, B.C., that was announced earlier this month.
“We chose Austin to house some of our most critical business functions due to its central location and the rich talent pool that resides in the Texas state capital,” said Dialpad CEO and co-founder Craig Walker. “When we hired Richard Rivera, a native Austinite as our Chief Revenue Officer last April, it was clear that Austin would quickly become the center of our Sales and Support organizations. Austin also has a very vibrant tech scene, with an already skilled and experienced cloud business ready workforce that is very similar to Silicon Valley's. When you add up all that’s going on in the city, and the surrounding communities, it made it easy to put our operations hub in Austin.”
Dialpad currently employs 29 people in the Austin office and is currently recruiting and hiring an additional 6 employees by the end of the year.
“WeWork and their facilities are the ideal place for us as we grow our customer base across the country and around the world,” added Walker. “They already house so many companies who are a part of the Anywhere Worker workforce, so it was a natural for us to plant our flag with them in Texas.”
